1.拿到新机，插上USB数据线，开机的时候，过程参考这里：

最开始，也是连上wifi，去注册了一下。其中账号是一个邮件地址，是我之前就注册好的。

2. kindle4的几个按键：

Back,Keyboard,5-Way Controller,Menu,Home,Previous Page, Next Page

3.关于设置时间:

Home -> Menu-> Settings -> Next Page -> Device Time -> Set

5-Way Controller去上下波动，设置你所要的时间，最后Save即可。

4.关于键盘输入：

任何时候，按Keyboard键，都可以调出键盘输入窗口。

然后就是上下左右选择对应的字母，然后按确定，即可输入。

输入完毕后，输入那个“Done”即可。

再按一次，可以取消键盘窗口。

5.关于登陆amazon去管理kindle的话，注意

amazon的中文主页：

中，即使是“我的账户”:

中，也是找不到相关管理选项的。

是要登陆英文（美国）的主页：

然后找到

Digital Content -> Manage Your Kindle -> Your Kindle Account -> Register a Kindle 去注册kindle，

其中需要你输入SN序列号，此序列号，可以在你的kindle中找到：

Home -> Menu-> Settings -> Device Info中可以看到 Serial Number，共16位字母数字。

6.关于发送电子书到你的邮件，然后下载到你的kindle中

同上，登陆amazon美国主页，登陆后，找到：

Digital Content -> Manage Your Kindle -> Your Kindle Account ->Personal Document Settings ->

（1）在Send-to-Kindle E-Mail Settings一项中，可以看到你已经注册好的邮件，格式是：

你的名字@Kindle.com

（2）然后对于Personal Document Archiving，点击右边的Edit去Enable启动它。

启用之后，你发送到上面那个邮件的文档，同时会被放在你的Kindle个人图书馆（Kindle library），默认有5G的空间。

（3）Approved Personal Document E-mail List 中，是用于防止别的垃圾邮件被发送到你的

你的名字@Kindle.com，而让你自己设置的，运行哪些邮箱发送邮件到 你的名字@Kindle.com。默认已经帮你添加好的你之前注册时候所用的邮箱。如果你还想要通过自己的其他的邮件，发送电子书到kindle那个邮箱，那么自己在此处点击Add a new approved e-mail address 去添加上去即可。

凡是通过上述已认证的邮箱，发送电子书到：

你的名字@Kindle.com

后，你邮箱中也会收到一封这样的邮件的：

对于你的kindle中，如果你开了wifi，那么其会自动下载电子书到你的kindle，当然你也可以手动去

Home -> Menu ->Sync & Check for items去同步更新这些电子书。

然后电子书如果正在下载，你可以在Home -> Menu -> View Downloading items中看到。

如果已经下载好了，那么你的主页中就可以看到这些电子书了。

刚下载添加的电子书,比如我这里的pdf，其最前面还会有个New PDF提示的。

7.关于amazon的Cloud Storage云存储

默认你注册了账号后，amazon会给你一个5G的云存储空间

我上传了一些电子书。

但是现在还没搞懂，如果将上传的电子书，同步到我的kindle上来.

9.reset你的kindle

如果kindle出现一些问题了，可以尝试reset，即恢复出厂设置，可以通过长按电源键大概20秒即可。

16.升级4.0.1固件

升级新版本的固件，可以去这里：

其中固件下载地址：

Download Software Update 4.0.1

下载后，放到更目录，然后拔掉usb，去settings里面按Menu菜单，再选Update Your Kindle即可，剩下就是等升级，等重启，重启后，再去看版本，就可以发现已经是4.0.1了。版本是在Settings的界面右下角可以看到。
